Why Social Media?
The standard practices and precedents of Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations are quickly becoming obsolete, but more importantly is what will and currently is replacing these tactics.
The answer is Social Media.
The chart to the left illustrates the results of a 2009 survey done for the Social Media Marketing Industry Report. 88% of roughly 3000 business owners and staff reported using Social Media for business. Even though Social Media is a relatively new concept in business, it has changed the entire face of marketing, customer relationships, information sharing and the overall success (or failure) of a company.
Whether you’re an avid user of social networks, blogging, micro-blogging and social bookmarking communities or are a passive internet user, chances are you have had experience with social media.
